Assistant Vice President, GT-TBS, GCDB Application Delivery, Next Gen Clicks MY (Developer)

Job Purpose * Clicks Backend and Octo Microservice Development - Responsible for Octo’s Forward30 initiatives that requires strong Java-based development expertise to develop backend services for Clicks / Octo. Also tasked to ensure deliveries meet internal and external security compliances and performance benchmark that regulators and market users expect. Key Responsibilities* • To craft out technical designs for Clicks Backend and Octo Microservice for front-end integrations. • To analyze performance logs from Dynatrace to identify room for improvements. • To always be up to date on potential threats and vulnerabilities surfacing in the public that could impact Clicks and Octo userbase and formulate counteractive measures with existing solutions. • To always be aware of new programming knowledge in Java to ensure solutions remain forward compatible. • To coordinate closely with Digital Banking Product Owners in comprehending the expected user journey and translate those expectations into a high-performing service architecture design. Job Specification * Qualifications (Basic Degree/Diploma etc) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent. Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements • N/A Relevant Work Experience • 5+ years’ experience in Java backend development • Strong experience with Spring Boot, APIs, and microservices • Experience designing scalable systems Key Dimension of Impact * Heavy involvement for Clicks / Octo’s Forward30 initiative Required Competencies and Skills * Competencies/Skills (Essential to succeed in this job) • Strong Java and Spring Boot development skills, including building APIs and microservices • Good understanding of clean code principles, system performance, and troubleshooting • Familiarity with Git and Agile/Scrum environments • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills • Ability to work independently and deliver within deadlines
