You will act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex financial requirements into robust technology solutions.

This role requires a high-level of technical leadership across banking domains, including payments, lending, and deposits. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle—from initial planning and resource allocation to production release and post-go-live support—while ensuring all solutions meet stringent regulatory and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • End-to-End Delivery: Lead projects from planning through execution and closure.

  • Scope & Planning: Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.

  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively track progress and manage risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure delivery within scope and budget.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams; prepare and present status updates to senior management.

Team Management

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Manage a team of developers, analysts, and support resources.

  • Performance Tracking: Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance through reviews and skill development sessions.

  • Culture Building: Foster a collaborative, accountable, high-performance culture and drive continuous process improvement.

Technical & Banking Domain

  • Domain Expertise: Provide leadership across core banking systems, payments, lending, and deposits.

  • Solution Integrity: Review system designs and technical documentation to ensure they meet regulatory and security standards.

  • Integration & Support: Oversee system integration, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production releases.

  • Technical Translation: Work closely with business stakeholders to translate banking requirements into technical specifications.

What You’ll Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: 5–10 years in IT or banking systems, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.

  • Banking Domain: Strong experience with financial services technology and core banking systems.

  • Technical Stack: Hands-on understanding of open system architecture, APIs, and databases.

    • Added Advantage: Experience or working knowledge of AS400 systems.

  • Methodology: Solid understanding of SDLC, including Agile/Scrum and Waterfall.

  • Compliance & Risk: Knowledge of data security, regulatory compliance, and risk management within the banking sector.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities with strong stakeholder management skills.

  • Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is an added advantage.
